Laser skin resurfacing is often incorporated in professional acne treatments. Fractionated lasers can improve acne in many ways. The laser can destroy the bacteria that is correlated with acne. Laser Resurfacing with Fraxel
Fraxel laser resurfacing uses a more aggressive laser than Clear + Brilliant. It penetrates deeper into the skin, making it more effective for diminishing brown spots, creating even skin tone, and minimizing wrinkles and fine lines. Fraxel is also very effective at reducing the appearance of acne scars and other types of scars such as stretch marks.
While no procedure is completely void of risk, when a qualified, experienced professional performs laser resurfacing, complications are rare and are usually minor. Though rare, some of the risks associated with laser resurfacing include: burns, scarring and lightening/darkening of the treated skin area from the heat of the laser.*¹
