At SKINNEY Medspa, we utilize a state-of-the-art fractionated laser to target stretch marks. This technology creates tiny wounds that trigger the skin to make new tissue and collagen. These wounds are not painful for the patient. The smart lasers shed the skin’s outer layer to reveal new and smooth skin. The CO2 laser treats deeper stretch marks, while Erbium is ideal for scars on the surface. The Fraxel laser targets newer stretch marks well, but it can also work on older, white marks.
In general, laser stretch mark reduction is most effective on new stretch marks still red. The reason for this is that it treats the inflammation in that area. But the procedure can work on older scars too. It may just take more sessions to notice a dramatic improvement. Overall, most patients rave about their stretch marks being less noticeable session after session.
At SKINNEY Medspa, we use Alma and Pixel Perfect to help our patients achieve smoother skin. Alma is a radiofrequency and laser-based treatment that fades stretch marks by sloughing off dead skin cells and encouraging collagen production. Collagen is what makes our skin tight, even, and youthful. Pixel Perfect is another advanced procedure that restores problem areas. The skin resurfacing treatment diminishes stretch marks, revealing a stunning complexion.
✓ FDA approved for various skin colors and types
✓ Reduces the appearance of stretch marks (new and old)¹
✓ Minimal down time¹
✓ Can create new skin, making stretch marks less noticeable with each treatment²

But not all hope is lost! You can get smoother skin with laser stretch mark treatments regularly. Repeated stretch mark reduction sessions may fade your stretch marks dramatically over time.

Stretch marks, or striae, are scars that manifest when your skin stretches and shrinks fast. The drastic weight and size change causes skin fiber tears. As it heals, stretch marks form. They look like streaks or lines on the skin. When new, stretch marks are bright red, pink, purple, or brown. Over time, the brightness subsides and the marks become silver or white.
What Causes Striae?
In addition to drastic weight loss or gain, puberty, pregnancy, bodybuilding, and growth spurts all can cause stretch marks. Some with genetic disorders may be predisposed to getting them.
